Come On Get Happy with Pat Day aboard leads the post parade for the $100,000 R.R.M. Carpenter, Jr. Memorial Stake on Saturday, July 25th. The trees within the paddock area provide a canopy over the horses as they make their way to the track from Delaware's spacious paddock. Smoke from the picnic area barbecues rises in the background. |

Keene Dancer (third from right-shadow roll), a three year old bay colt by Seattle Dancer trained by David Carroll, settled in behind the Linda Rice-trainee, Soldier Field (Richard Migliore) and Carlos Marquez aboard Skeedattle Dancer early in the race, but drew off to easily defeat the field of turfers in the $200,000 Kent Breeders' Cup Stakes for three year olds. |

Sixteen entered $100,000 Robert G. Dick Memorial, but so imposing is Memories of Silver's record, that when she did not scratch, 11 others did. She won easily by a little more than three lengths. Memories of Silver accompanied her younger half-sister, Memories of Gold (Time For A Change), who was to run later in the day in the Delaware Oaks. |

Midwestern filly, Nickel Classic, who prevailed by a head over a closing Lu Ravi, a daughter of A.P. Indy, with Willie Martinez aboard. Ridden by Calvin Borel for Calvin Johnston and trainer Mark Danner, the blaze-faced chestnut daughter of Regal Classic and Spend a Nickel by Plugged Nickle (KY) ran the 1 1/16 miles in 1:42 4/5 second. |

Has this filly been running through white paint? No... but she probably could be cross registered as a Paint with these striking, yet unusual markings. Click on the link to see the full shot of Relaxing Rhythm in the paddock with Pat Day aboard. |
