Rarely is a filly or mare even considered for Horse of the Year honors, however, there rarely is a filly or mare as brilliant as Secretariat's daughter, Lady's Secret, was in 1986. She completely dominated her competition, capping off the year with a win in the 1986 Breeders' Cup Distaff.
