A Happy Team...
Robert Lewis leads Serena's Song into the winner's circle at Belmont Park following her win over older fillies Heavenly Prize and Lakeway in the Beldame Stakes (gr. I) on October 7, 1995. She finished the year with a fifth place finish in the Breeders' Cup Distaff, but her overall record of 9 wins in 13 starts as a three year old including six grade I victories, and wins over colts in the Jim Beam (gr. II) and Haskell (gr. I), were more than enough to crown her Champion Three Year Old Filly of 1995.
