Skip Away

Winner of the Woodward Stakes (G1) over Gentlemen, Running Stag, Free House and Coronado's Quest.

  • Skip Away most recently lost to Wagon Limit and Gentlemen in the Jockey Club Gold Cup in a shocking upset. He is now preparing for his final start in the Breeders' Cup Classic on November 7.

Affirmed Success

Winner of the Forego Handicap (G2) and Vosburgh (G1). In the Vosburgh, Affirmed Success beat Stormin Fever, Tale of the Cat, Banker's Gold, Kelly Kip, Distorted Humor and Rare Rock.

Silver Charm

Winner of the Kentucky Cup Classic (G3) via a dead heat with Wild Rush. Silver Charm provided his owners (Bob and Beverly Lewis) and his trainer (Bob Baffert) a great sigh of relief as their star of the stable finally returned to winning form. There was talk of retiring Silver Charm if he did not perform well in this race, but off this performance, Bob Baffert feels the old Silver Charm is back.

  • Silver Charm defeated Free House in the Goodwood on October 17, and with this win has earned himself a spot in the Breeders' Cup Classic to face Skip Away for the first time.

Wild Rush

Winner of the Kentucky Cup Classic (G3) via a dead heat with Silver Charm. Wild Rush set the fractions in the race and gamely held his ground against the tenacious drive of Silver Charm, even after he was headed in the stretch. It took five minutes for the officials to decide the horses had finished in a dead heat.

  • Wild Rush is being cross entered in the Breeders' Cup Sprint or the Breeders' Cup Mile. A decision will be made on which race he will actually run in as the fields shape up.

Sharp Cat

Undefeated so far this year, Sharp Cat easily beat the mares of the East Coast at Belmont Park in the Ruffian Stakes (G1). In print and on TV, her owner (Prince Ahmed bin Salman shown on the right in this photo) proudly calls her his "favorite .. like one of his daughters".

  • Sharp Cat recently won the Beldame at Belmont Park, running away from the competition and winning by 10 easy lengths. She now has established herself as the heavy favorite for the Breeders' Cup Distaff.

Tomorrows Cat

Previously graded stakes placed, his victory in the Pegasus at Meadowlands was his first stakes win.

Photographed as a two year old in the post parade for the Hopeful at Saratoga, August 30, 1997.

Chief Bearhart

Returned to winning form this month in Canada at Woodbine in the Sky Classic Handicap.

  • Cheif Bearhart finished second to European Invader, Royal Anthem, in the $1,000,000 Canadian Invitational at Woodbine. The race was a prep for the Breeders' Cup Turf.

Arch

Winner of the Super Derby (G1) against Classic Cat. The Super Derby was his first stakes effort.

  • Arch most recently defeated Touch Gold in the Fayette Stakes in track record time at Keeneland and is also being pointed toward the Breeders' Cup Classic.
